How We Identify Priorities to Guide our Collaborative Work
In 2015, we developed a strategic plan to guide the collective work of the partnership towards achieving its vision and mission. The plan is currently organized into four themes: Working Together, Informing Landscape Conservation, Communication, and Organizational Management. It focuses on working collaboratively to identify, develop, and support shared conservation goals.
Our Steering Committee is currently working on a new strategic plan, guided by the work of our partners and with input from our Indigenous Leadership Working Group. We hope to build a thriving collaboration where all of the participants can come together to share equally, respecting each other’s views, and to form a neutral convening forum.
To assist the stewardship needs of Alaska and Northwest Canada we are pursuing a better-shared understanding of how our ecosystems function and how they may change in the future. We aim to connect the partners among us who seek information and studies with those able to perform that work. More importantly, in linking information providers with information consumers we find ways to combine and coordinate our abilities, and capabilities, so that we can accomplish together what we individually could not. To be successful we must be inclusive, welcoming, and diverse.
